LONDON — WhatsApp has launched a new feature called Chat Filters.
Chat Filters allow you to quickly find your chats using three pre-set filters: All, Unread, and Groups.
Filter names are pre-set and can’t be changed.
The new feature that will allow users to filter chats by unread messages and to only view messages sent in groups.
The feature, which WhatsApp calls Chat Filters, will appear at the top of a user’s chat list, with three filters to choose from: All, the default option that displays all messages; Unread, which shows unread messages; and Groups, which will only show group chats.
WhatsApp says in a blogpost to its website that the feature is currently rolling out to users.
“We believe filters will make it easier for people to stay organised and find their most important conversations and help navigate through messages more efficiently.
“We’ll continue to build more options to help you focus on what matters most. These are starting to roll out to users, and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks,” it writes.
