CAIRO
The Spanish Embassy in Cairo has introduced a Spanish-Arabic dictionary, the first of football terminology.
The dictionary was issued during a ceremony attended by Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy earlier Sunday.
Sobhy stressed the need to use the big influence and popularity of football, noting that Egypt would sure act to promote that dictionary.
Using football in education and culture is very important for both the Egyptian and Spanish peoples, the minister noted.
The dictionary is meant to promote study of the Spanish language in the Middle East and North Africa region, depending on the popularity of Spanish football, its players and teams.
Available in 59 pages, the dictionary provides information about clubs, players, stadiums and championships, besides the different soccer terms, MENA reported.
