The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority held a ceremony to mark the final completion of the “CBT” project, aimed at training security screeners. The event was attended by Captain Amr El-Sharqawi, Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, and Thomas Seifert, Liaison Officer of the German Police at the German Embassy in Egypt. Also present were Major General Ayman Abdel Fattah, Head of Security at Cairo Airport Company, representatives from the project’s implementing company “CASRA,” and “COMTEC,” CASRA’s agent in Egypt.
Amr El-Sharqawi welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the German side in aviation security. He highlighted the completion of the project, which was implemented at the airports of Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam, as well as with the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
Thomas Seifert expressed his satisfaction with the direct cooperation between the German side and the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority over the past five years, culminating in the successful handover of the project to the Egyptian Authority. He assured that this cooperation would not be the last, hinting at future projects.
At the end of the ceremony, El-Sharqawi presented commemorative gifts to the attendees and expressed his eagerness to continue the training project across various airports in Egypt in the coming phase.
