The Egyptian Airports Company has signed a contract with SSP Egypt, a subsidiary of SSP Group, to operate restaurants and cafes at Terminal 1 of Hurghada International Airport. The contract was awarded through a public tender in a transparent and competitive manner.
SSP Group is one of the world’s leading companies in the food and beverage industry, with investments of £3 billion and more than 550 brands in over 2,700 locations at 600 airports and railway stations in 37 countries around the world, including Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East.
The contract is significant for the Egyptian Airports Company as it is the highest-value contract the company has ever signed. The contract also includes an agreement with SSP Egypt to introduce a number of new international and local brands to Hurghada Airport, including some that will be operating for the first time at an Egyptian airport.
