Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El-Hefny, has commended the National Training Academy (NTA) for its vital role in preparing and developing skilled professionals. He emphasised that investing in human capital is a cornerstone of the ministry’s strategy to achieve sustainability and leadership in the aviation sector.
During a meeting with Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the NTA, El-Hefny highlighted the ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the academy through advanced training programmes aimed at enhancing technical and managerial skills. This, he said, would improve service quality for passengers and help develop a workforce capable of meeting international standards in the fast-evolving aviation industry.

The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, focused on expanding co-operation between the Civil Aviation Ministry and the NTA to develop highly qualified professionals who can drive progress in the sector. Discussions included the possibility of launching new training programmes tailored to the aviation industry’s needs, complementing existing courses provided by the Egyptian Aviation Academy and EgyptAir Training Academy.
Ragheb outlined the NTA’s efforts in training and upskilling senior and mid-level executives across various sectors, using the latest scientific and professional methods. She noted that the academy has delivered around 200 specialized training programs for over 37,000 trainees, incorporating workshops, field training, sports and cultural activities, simulation exercises, and site visits.
She expressed appreciation for the Civil Aviation Ministry’s ongoing collaboration with the NTA, emphasising that the academy serves as a knowledge hub, fostering innovation and leadership development to prepare professionals for future challenges in the aviation sector.
