Egypt’s development projects, carried out under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the past seven years, have exceeded all expectations and dreams. Such achievements made in various fields of health, education, higher education and scientific research, electricity, roads, housing, industry and communications and IT have dazzled the whole world.
Egypt has made great strides towards realising comprehensive development, technology and progress in the twenty-first century with all strength and national spirit.
Egypt is passing through the most difficult time in its history, according to President Sisi in many of his public speeches.
The Egyptians have had an inspiring power to achieve the impossible in all branches of development, construction and technology.
Since the June 30 Revolution in 2013, much has changed in Egypt.
At Tanta University, we seek to keep pace with these major achievements using the latest scientific research and artificial intelligence technology, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
The university has embarked on a number of major development projects, including the establishment of the first smart university hospital in Mahalla al-Kubra to serve patients in the Delta governorates.
900 900 Hospital, costing up to LE1 billion, is considered as a jewel of medicine and treatment in the middle of the Delta.
This hospital will contribute to alleviating the suffering of patients thanks to a number of the best professors at Tanta Faculty of Medicine, using the latest medical devices and equipment.
900 900 Hospital is a dream that came true within four months. The 11,520-square-metre hospital will include a section for road accidents, 28 intensive care units, 100 in-residence beds and post operation suites, 30 outpatient clinics, a central pharmacy and a radiology unit.
The university hospital will be built in three stages.
To help fund the mega-project, the university has launched a foundation for donations called ‘Friends of Tanta University’.
The first phase of construction is set to start soon at a cost of LE240 million. Hospital 900 900 will serve all citizens in the Delta as they contribute to the construction and equipment.
Tanta University also launched the first educational channel on the Nilesat to support distance learning in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The university has made a partnership to establish a branch in Djibouti as Egypt has regained its leading role in Africa under President Sisi.
Soon, we will start establishing a national university in accordance with the highest international standards and specifications.
A unit for robot simulation and smart modelling was opened at the Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University to train students in the latest technology in the world and link graduates to the local and global labour markets.
Establishing this unit will fulfill the strategic goals of the university, develop scientific research system, and raise the efficiency of university graduates.
It is considered a technological leap in the field of artificial intelligence and digital transformation at the university.
