CAIRO – Veteran Egyptian actor Ahmed Khalil died in hospital Tuesday at the age of 80 after a short illness.
Funeral procedures should take place at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed City later today.
Khalil was born on January 15, 1942 in the Delta city of Mansoura. He had had a passion for acting since he was a child and later joined the High Cinema Institute, where he became a top graduate.
He starred in many TV shows and movies.
