Head of EGYPTAIR Training Academy Ihab El-Tahtawy said that the academy began to activate Microsoft Teams for remote learning in co-operation with Microsoft under the supervision of the information sector of EGYPTAIR Holding company.
This was as part of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s orientation towards digital transformation, the implementation of sustainable development strategy and precautionary measures taken by EGYPTAIR Holding company to limit the spread of COVID-19.
In this context, a joint event was organized between EGYPTAIR Academy and Microsoft to announce the start of activating the programme.
Attending the event were Vice President of Information Technology at EgyptAir Holding company Yasser Omran and a team from Microsoft represented by Defense and National Security Sector lead at Microsoft Egypt Engineer Noha Labib.
General manager at Microsoft in Egypt Engineer Mirna Arif stated that the cooperation with EgyptAir comes as part of the strategic partnership between Microsoft and EgyptAir to achieve digital transformation in the aviation sector in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Engineer Labib added that activating Microsoft Teams as a safe platform for teamwork and collaboration will allow trainees to access the training courses offered by the Academy in various fields through remote learning delivered by exceptional subject matter experts without the need to be at the Academy’s headquarters.
Microsoft teams offers a smart and secure solution for modern work and learning, that empowers people to achieve more through best in class productivity and communication tools.
