CAIRO- Egypt’s Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea Hatem Hassouba received on Monday a medical and humanitarian aid shipment sent by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) to the Equatorial Guinean authorities.
The Egyptian aid comes as part of relief efforts to support the victims of Bata explosions that occurred in March, the Foreign Ministry said.
Equatorial Guinean Adviser to the Presidency of the Government on Supplies, Pharmacies and Laboratories at the Ministry for Health and Social Welfare Pedro Abaga Esono and Director General for International Bodies Ambassador Maricruz Evuna Andeme attended the handover ceremony.
Hassouba stressed Egypt’s backing to the Equatorial Guinean government to stand by those affected.
Meanwhile, the Equatorial Guinean officials thanked Egypt and EAPD for delivering the humanitarian aid, lauding Cairo’s role in supporting African countries.
