CAIRO – Head of the Pharmaceutical Division of the Chamber of Commerce Ali Aouf said that the decision to grant the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) to receive the Level 3 maturity certificate (ML3) for medicines and vaccines is considered an unprecedented achievement in Africa and the Middle East.
There are only 18 countries, which achieved WHO maturity level 3, he said in an interview with “Good Morning Egypt” programme on State TV.
Aouf said the WHO has inspected pharmaceutical factories, markets, laboratories, and the Pharmaceutical Authority and found that the level of quality, control, and pharmaceutical industry in Egypt are among the highest levels in the world.
