WASHINGTON – Egyptian Ambassador in Washington Motaz Zahran has opened “UNLIMITED – an Exhibition of Contemporary Egyptian Art”.
During the opening ceremony, amb. Zahran said that the exhibition falls within the framework of Egyptian-US ties in various domains and as part of celebrations of 100 years of diplomatic relations between Egypt and the United States.
This year, Cairo and Washington celebrate a century of partnership, arts and culture, which are a living testament of the solid friendship between the two countries, the Egyptian embassy said on its website.
Hisham Fahmi, the CEO American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt inc, Washington DC, said there is a wide diversity in cooperation fields between Egypt and the United States.
There are still broad prospects for strengthening this cooperation in the future, whether in the culture and arts domains or in the economic, trade and investment sectors, he added.
In statements to MENA, Engy el Hakim, the exhibition coordinator, said the exhibition, which will last till July 7, showcases a unique collection of 30 paintings and sculptures by 19 exemplary Egyptian artists.
