CAIRO – The 12th edition of the Egyptian Products and Heritage Exhibition “Buy Egyptian Art” kicked off on Thursday.
The event is organised by the Foreign Ministry in co-operation with the National Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration and Human Trafficking (NCCPIM).
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said the exhibition comes as part of the Foreign Ministry’s keenness on raising awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration. It also comes as part of Egyptian government’s commitment to creating jobs for young people.
The exhibition aims to get foreign ambassadors and diplomats acquainted with the products of young artisans and small business owners, help them market their handicrafts both at home and abroad, and promote exports.
This exhibition brings together a diverse group of manufacturers from the most exporting governorates of illegal migration.
The event is inaugurated by Assistant Foreign Minister Nabil Habeshi who was accompanied by NCCPIM head Nayla Jabr, CEO of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority Bassel Rahme and a host of accredited ambassadors in Cairo and representatives of UN bodies.
