CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Irrigation Hany Suweilam said water management maneuver operations are being carried out at canals in addition to flexible handling of main aqueducts, with a view to achieving irrigation grid water balance.
A meeting Wednesday with a number of leaders of the Ministry of Irrigation to review and assess efforts being exerted during the period of maximum water needs, took up revenues of River Nile, assessing the amount of water reaching the High Dam lake, as well as the situation of flood for the current water year.
Suweilam gave directives to precisely evaluate the performance of water distribution devices.
