Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir met Wednesday with representatives of Heidelberg Materials Egypt, which is specialized is the manufacture of cement, to discuss the company’s expansion plan in the Egyptian market.
The meeting took up future goals regarding sustainability and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, said Samir in a statement.
He stressed that his Ministry is keen on quickly responding to demands of the cement companies that seek to update their standard qualifications in line with government resolutions.
The Ministry spares no effort to ease obstacles facing entrepreneurs and investors in a way that would contribute to pumping new investments and creating more jobs, Samir made it clear.
He talked about efforts to manufacture an Egyptian product with high value-added that would be able to compete on international markets and meet local and international demands.
