The Educational Professions Syndicate on Wednesday held a conference in Mit Ghamr, Dakahlia Governorate, to support and endorse President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the upcoming presidential elections.
Thousands of teachers participated in the event, as part of a series of conferences launched by the syndicate to inform teachers of their political and constitutional rights, and urge them to take part in the upcoming presidential vote.
Khalaf el-Zanati, who is head of the Teachers’ Syndicate and chairman of the Arab Teachers’ Union, said in his speech: “We are not isolated from the course of political and economic events taking place in the world. We praise measures President Sisi has taken to ensure the security of Egypt and Sinai in particular, and to reject the displacement of Palestinians.”
President Sisi is making huge efforts to stop the escalation of violence in Gaza, calling on the necessity of reaching urgent relief for bereaved Palestinians, el-Zanati added.
President Sisi said that the forced evacuation of Gazans to Sinai is tantamount to erasing the Palestinian cause, which Egypt will not accept.
“We stand behind President Sisi in all decisions, which he took to protect Egyptian national security,” el-Zanati said.
Zanati said teachers stand united behind President Sisi, who has saved the nation from the grip of terrorism.
