CAIRO- Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy welcomed a group of US students who are now visiting Egypt.
The visit, which will last until August 5, aims at acquainting the students with achievements made by Egypt and several development projects nationwide, said Sobhy during a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Cairo Nicole Shampaine Monday.
The meeting was attended by a host of Egyptian and US students who are participating in the training programme “Nation Builders” that is being implemented by the ministry in cooperation with the US Embassy in Cairo and Nation Builders Foundation.
A delegation of Egyptian students will visit the US on August 8-11 as part of cultural exchange programme for students.
Sobhy appreciated the fruitful co-operation with the US Embassy in Cairo in carrying out different programmes and activities serving young people.
“Nation Builders” is a comprehensive programme for honing skills.
For her part, Shampaine commended constructive co-operation with the ministry in fulfilling the relevant programme.
The US embassy is keen on taking part in development programs for youth in Egypt and investing in education, according to her.
