Cairo- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday stressed the importance of educating Arab youth to engage in digital transformation, software and rapid technological progress, which greatly affect the future of job opportunities, and therefore help young people keep pace with developments in these fields.
Meeting Arab ministers of youth and sports, Sisi described the youth sector as a fundamental part of national security.
He affirmed the need to promote real understanding and awareness of youth in a way that preserves stability, security and peace, and provides factors for progress and success.
The youth bloc represents huge positive energy, the president said.
“We need to work on maximizing the joint Arab capabilities to make good use and investment of their talents, and immunize their minds against extremist ideologies, which could threaten the capabilities and entity of states,” he added.
President Sisi proposed the announcement of 2023 as the year of Arab youth so that a set of activities would be organized alternately in different Arab capitals.
