Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed satisfaction at the level of the ongoing co-ordination between Egypt and Jordan and emphasised the importance of strengthening economic relation and increasing trade exchange to be commensurate with the level of political relations and historical ties binding the two peoples.
The President’s remarks came during his meeting today with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and head of the General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel.
The President exchanged views regarding the developments of the Middle East peace process and the existing coordination between the two brotherly countries in this regard.
The two sides emphasised the importance of continuing to work to strengthen international efforts to settle the Palestinian crisis, based on the fundamentals and terms of reference of international legitimacy.
