Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the importance of rationalizing water used in agriculture and making use of subterranean water existing in East Oweinat through the use of the modern irrigation system while maintaining it.
During the inauguration of the wheat harvest season and a pre-fried potatoes factory in East Oweinat, the New Valley Governorate, Sunday, the president said that Egypt needs underground water in East Oweinat, calling for nationalizing it through irrigation systems.
He said the country seeks to achieve the maximum benefit from water used in the agricultural process to reclaim more lands.
