Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for maintaining all-out efforts to introduce the Great Transfiguration project over the Land of Peace project in Sinai to humanity and to visitors from all over the world in the best possible manner, in appreciation of its unique spiritual value that stems from being the host of the three monotheistic religions, taking into account that the buildings, constructions and facilities are in harmony with the environmental nature of the place, as well as the increased reliance on new and renewable energy to preserve the environment.

The president’s remarks came as he met on Tuesday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Minister of Housing Assem el-Gazzar, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

During the meeting, the president reviewed the executive situation of the national projects being implemented by the Ministry of Housing, especially the Great Transfiguration Project, the cities of New Mansoura, New Alamein as well as the development of the historic Cairo area and a series of housing projects for all Egyptians.

In this context, Minister el-Gazzar briefed the president on the progress of work in a number of new cities nationwide, pointing to the completion of work in the new city of Mansoura, with a length of 15 km directly on the Mediterranean coast, with all its components, including residential neighbourhoods, various types of buildings, villas, and places of worship.

The president also directed the minister to check the level of all services, which will be provided to the residents of the new city of Mansoura.

The president also followed up the development of the Historic Cairo District, which aims to restore the civilised face of Cairo, including the ongoing development process in the aqueduct area. The president directed the minister not to limit the development work to ancient historical and archaeological monuments only, but to extend to the adjacent sites.

In the same context, the executive situation for the development of the Maspero Triangle area was reviewed. The president said that the triangle should be developed in harmony and integration with the various aspects of development taking place in central Cairo.

Minister el-Gazzar also presented the ministry’s efforts in carrying out a project for craft and technical training for youth in villages, in co-operation with the Ministry of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs and within the framework of the “Decent Life” and “Lifeboats” initiatives.

In this regard, the president directed the government to intensify these types of programmes and increase the number of young trainees to discover talents in the craft and technical field.
