CAIRO – Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned Saturday the death of former Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, his assistant for national projects.
“With sincere sadness and sorrow, I mourn a real great man who reflected the Egyptian nation’s conscience,” Sisi stated in a Facebook post.
The deceased carried responsibilities in the most difficult situations and times and was equal to the arduous task, he added.
“I observed in Sherif Ismail all detachment, sincerity, honesty, and a willingness to offer, disregarding all advantages and pursuing only the best interests of his nation and his people,” Sisi stated.
“I express my condolences to myself and the Egyptian nation for the death of this loyal statesman,” he concluded.
