Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauded the historic and amicable ties between Egypt and Jordan.
He stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, especially in view of the major challenges besetting the region.
Sisi made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting with Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah on the fringe of the Arab summit in Algiers.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said Sisi called on the crown prince to convey his greetings to Jordanian King Abdullah II.
Meanwhile, the crown prince forwarded the Jordanian monarch’s greetings to Sisi, voicing appreciation to Egypt.
The crown prince lauded the level of continued coordination with Egypt in addressing regional crises that threaten security and stability.
He commended the pivotal role played by Egypt in serving Arab issues and promoting Arab solidarity.
