CAIRO -Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday inspected the pavilions of the International Defense and Military Industries Exhibition, EDEX 2021.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of the president with the participation of 400 companies from 42 countries.

The fair convenes at Egypt International Conference Centre in New Cairo and runs for four days.

Sisi started his inspection tour with visiting Egypt’s pavilion at the exhibition.

While touring the exhibition place, Sisi was accompanied by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and other senior state officials.

At the start of his inspection tour, Sisi listened to a detailed explanation from the director of the vehicles department of the Armed Forces.

The director said the pavilion of the Armed Forces Engineering Industries Complex includes 12 vehicles of various shapes, sizes and models that have been designed at the Engineering Manufacturing Centre in line with state-of-the-art layouts.

The vehicles, that are made to suit the needs of the army and police, are fitted with cameras, signaling systems, control screens and launching pads as well as night vision and automatic tracking systems.

They are manufactured by the military production ministry in cooperation with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation and the civil sector, according to him.
