Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has urged continued action to best use a yet-to-be-formed national emergency and safety network to be able to protect public and private property, as well as state assets.
The president stressed the need for that new network to integrate with development and service projects that are being implemented across Egypt.
Sisi was speaking during a meeting with senior military officials Sunday to follow up implementation of the unified national network for emergency and safety, said presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.
The new network aims to quickly handle any emergencies, crises and disasters through full control powers and in cooperation with all state authorities concerned, Rady said.
This should be done with the help of advanced communication technologies and in line with international standards, the presidential spokesman added.
