Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday received the visiting French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Defence and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki.
Tackling regional developments, with focus on Gaza, the two sides discussed regional developments wis focus on Gaza. They stressed the necessity of preventing expansion and escalation of the conflict to the regional level, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
In addition, President Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, providehumanitarian aid to people in the Strip, receive wounded Palestinians, and evacuate foreign nationals.
For his part, the French Minister underscored his country’s appreciation of Egypt’s efforts, commending the pivotal role Cairo plays for maintaining security and stability in the region. Spokesman Fahmy said.
Lecornuconveyed the greetings of French President Emanuel Macronto President Sisi. He lauded the growing ties between the two nations in all fields. He also expressed keenness on advancing the already distinguished bilateral ties, mainly in the military domain.
President Sisi conveyed greetings to President Macron.
