Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has called on the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) to pay attention to agriculture in its initiatives to support society.
Addressing the second session of the first conference of NACDW, the president hailed efforts exerted by the Egyptian farmers and their initiatives.
President Sisi said training farmers on modern agriculture would contribute to the increase of crops and save water and fertilizers.
He stressed the importance of cooperation of the ministries of agriculture and irrigation with farmers and NACDW to increase the production of sugarcane and reduce water consumption in about 350,000 feddans grown with sugarcane in Upper Egypt.
