Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has called for developing and raising the efficiency of the geographical surroundings of the Grand Egyptian Museum while integrating it with the pyramids plateau area in an effort to provide an exceptional experience for visitors and tourists.
The President’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and a host of Cabinet ministers and senior state officials, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
During the meeting, the President urged maximising the added value of this entire zone, developing it into the world’s most important archaeological tourist destination, as befits a country like Egypt.
The President also gave directives for paying attention to every detail of the museum as an integrated system, so that it reflects, in terms of form and content, the grandeur and genuineness of the ancient Egyptian civilisation as well as the ability to organise and apply modern management in accordance with the highest international standards, the Presidency spokesman said.
The meeting also featured a follow-up on the workflow developments in the Grand Egyptian Museum, in light of the start of the limited trial operation and the completion of works in many sectors, including the museum building, the Great Hall and the Great Staircase, the Hanging Obelisk Square and the surrounding gardens.
