Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi followed up on Tuesday the progress on a number of projects, carried out in different parts of Egypt by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, with a host of authority officials and presidential aides.
The projects included some in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), such as the designs of the main hall of the building of the House of Deputies.
President Sisi also reviewed the design of the Islamic Cultural Centre in the NAC, along with other buildings within the centre’s complex, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
He added these buildings included that of Egypt Mosque and some of its internal sections, such as Dar al-Qur’an Hall.
Officials attending the meeting also briefed the president about the executive situation of the Diplomatic Quarter, which will contain the premises of a large number of foreign embassies and international organisations.
President Sisi also appraised progress on the implementation of the International Motor City between Cairo and Ain Sukhna, Ambassador Radi said.
He added that the president gave directives for completing the city in an integrated manner with a view to providing it with all the necessary services.
The projects reviewed by the president during Tuesday’s meeting also included Galala City and a commercial market in Nasr City.
