CAIRO- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has a telephone contact on Thursday with his Russian counterpart Sergy Lavrov where the two ministers agreed on the importance of halting Israel’s attacks on Gaza Strip and stemming bloodshed.
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry said Shoukry’s contact with Lavrov is part of wider good offices to protect civilians and pave the way for peace efforts.
The two ministers also agreed on pursuing contacts with all parties concerned to end the bloodshed ahead of the Security Council meeting on Friday for the third time this week to debate the issue
