Sharm el-Sheikh signed a fraternity agreement with the central Romanian City of Sinaia.
The signing of the agreement came during the ongoing visit to Romania by South Sinai Governor, Khaled Fouda, who is leading a high-level delegation from his governorate to the southeastern European country.
The agreement is a serious bid by Egypt and Romania to enhance tourism co-operation.
It will also potentially open a new tourism market for Sharm el-Sheikh, capitalising on close relations between Egypt and Romania.
Governor Fouda thanked the Romanian side and the mayor of the City of Sinaia for the warmly welcome.
He invited the mayor to visit Sharm el-Sheikh in the coming period.
