The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) announced signing a contract for expansion in the projects of the Indian company Flex in the industrial zone of Sokhna.
Eng. Amr El-Batereq, CEO of Orascom Industrial Estates signed for SCZONE side, while board chairman of India’s Flex signed for his country.
In a statement on Tuesday, SCZONE said the signing ceremony was held on the fringe of the third promotional tour for SCZONE in the Asian continent, with the aim of attracting companies operating in many sectors, most notably new energy, infrastructure, petrochemicals, heavy industries, and green fuel companies. It will also include discussing means of cooperation with several ports to enhance joint work in the field of logistics.
The statement said that Flex’s expansions will be established on an area of 125,000 square meters with total investments of dlrs 120 million and will provide 250 direct job opportunities and 500 indirect jobs.
SCZONE statement said that the expansion of Flex projects aimed at deepening cooperation in the various fields of common interest with the Indian side.
