CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi swore in ministers in the new government led by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Wednesday at Ittihadiya Palace.

Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar took the oath first followed by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Affairs and Transport Minister Kamel Wazir and Minister of Defense Minister and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Saqr.

Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Co-operation Rania al-Mashat took the oath followed by Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq, Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, and Communications and IT Minister Amr Talaat.

Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy was sworn in alongside Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour, Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hani Sweilam, and Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mahmoud Esmat.

Local Development Minister Manal Awad took the oath alongside Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Attia, Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsi, and Supply and Interior Trade Minister Sherif Farouq.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs Badr Abdel Ati, Justice Minister Adnan Fangari, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication Mahmoud Fawzi, Awqaf Minister Osama Azhari, Aviation Minister Sameh Hanafi, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif Sherbini, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Eddin Farouq el Sayyed.

Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Mohamed Ibrahim Shimi took the oath as well as Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan Khatib, Minister of Labor Mohamed Gobran Abdel Halim, Culture Minister Ahmed Fouad Abdel Salam, Education and Technical Education Minister Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Wealth Karim Badawi.
