Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy Bassam Radi on Sunday conveyed a congratulatory message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Egyptian Coptic community in Italy on the Glorious Resurrection Day.
This came as the ambassador was attending the Easter Mass at the headquarters of the Coptic Church in Rome, accompanied by all members of the Egyptian Embassy. Anba Barnaba, Bishop of Turin and Rome of the Coptic Orthodox Church, was also at the service.
In his cable, President Sis said, “It gives me great pleasure to send Egyptian Copts abroad my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the Glorious Resurrection Day. I wish you all success and for our beloved Egypt more development and prosperity.”
Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian celebration commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, according to Christian belief.
