Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted inflation is a “global phenomenon”, saying the government is following up prices of commodities around-the-clock.
Speaking at a press conference in the government’s premises in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Monday, Madbouli said the inflation issue has been a top priority and the most important issue to the government in the previous period.
The premier added “We are following up around-the-clock the price hikes of foodstuffs, pointing out to global circumstances and crises.”
On a daily basis, there is always something new about big crises worldwide, which are taking their toll on everything, according to him.
Madbouli affirmed that inflation is a “global phenomenon” in all countries and that each country is trying to find its own route to address it.
