Chairman of the Carlyle International Energy Partners James Robert Maguire asserted the group seeks to build a bright future and pump giant investments in the field of petroleum and gas in Egypt, according to a statement by the Petroleum Ministry.
The group plans to provide advanced technologies to further conduct the deepest search and exploration operations, he added.
That came at talks with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla on Wednesday to discuss the sale of Egypt, Italy, and Croatia portfolio to Carlyle.
Energean plc entered into a binding agreement to sell its portfolio in Egypt, Italy, and Croatia to Carlyle International Energy Partners for an enterprise value (EV).
Molla welcomed the global group’s desire to work in Egypt and the region through the establishment of an affiliated company in the discovery and production operations in the Mediterranean region.
