The Egyptian House of Representatives, led by Speaker Hanafi Gebali approved today during the plenary session a bill submitted by the government allowing the minister of petroleum and mineral resources to contract with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, North Sinai Petroleum Company, Oil & Gas Limited companies and Brinco Resources Egypt Limited to amend a binding agreement on searching for petroleum in North Sinai maritime area.
The parliament had referred the draft law to the joint committee of the energy and environment committee and the office of the constitutional and legislative affairs committee for more deliberations.
