Chairman of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) Taha Tawfiq Rabeh said that so far, the Institute has not received any information indicating that Egyptians felt the earthquake recorded by the Egyptian National Seismic Network (ENSN).
In a statement on Tuesday, the NRIAG’s head said that no loss of life or property reported in Egypt.
On Monday, an earthquake hit northern Syria with a magnitude of 5.42 on the Richter scale, occurred at 11:55 PM (local time).
On February 6, 2023, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey and Syria, causing widespread destruction and tens of thousands of fatalities.
