Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el-Gazzar and the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations (EFIA) on Tuesday discussed ways to promote investment projects in the new cities.
The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is to provide investment and job opportunities in the new cities to attract would-be residents, the minister said.
The NUCA has put in place mechanisms to deal with investors’ applications for plots of land for various commercial uses in the new cities, the minister added.
El-Gazzar also reviewed the cabinet’s new payment facilities for land purchases0 under the ‘Beit Watan’ project for Egyptian expatriates.
The facilities are to encourage serious investors, attract more investments into new cities and create thousands of jobs.
