The National Alliance for Civil Development Work has launched a number of expanded medical convoys, which reached the Delta and the border governorates, where Misr El-Khair Foundation, a member of the National Alliance, ran an expanded medical convoy in South Sinai, targeting the people of determination in the cities of Al-Tur and Nuweiba.
The convoy also offered treatment to 1,550 citizens in all specialisations and provided the necessary medicine.
It also provided assistance to people with physical and hearing disabilities in the form of wheelchairs of all kinds, various prosthetic limbs, as well as hearing aids and eyeglasses. It also offered free treatment for all cases including all necessary tests and examinations free of charge.
Comprehensive medical convoys constitute key activities in the healthcare sector, which is the second axis of the social protection plan of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action.
The alliance includes in its membership leading institutions in the field of healthcare, scientific research and patient support, namely Magdi Yaacoub Foundation for Diseases and Heart Research, the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University Hospitals, Baheya Hospital among others.
The National Alliance for Civil Development Work was launched on March 13, 2022, with the participation of major civil and development institutions in Egypt.
It includes 24 associations, civil institutions and service and development entities, including the General Union of Civil Associations and NGOs, which work in various fields of development in terms of service, health, awareness, educational, urban and others.
