The National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) and the Decent Life Foundation launched Saturday a massive humanitarian aid convoy to support the Palestinians in Gaza who have been affected by Israel’s ferocious acts of violence.
Accompanied with a team of physicians of various specialties, the aid caravan included 1,000 tons of foodstuff, 40,000 blankets, over 300,000 drugs packs and medical supplies, as well as clothing items, NACDW said in a statement.
The huge convoy was launched in pursuance of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to provide urgent relief and support to Palestinian brethren.
In cooperation with the Blood Bank and the Health and Population Ministry, the NACDW has also launched a nationwide campaign for blood donation in support to the Palestinian people hit by fierce Israeli airstrikes.
In a statement, the Alliance said it deeply regrets “the escalating violence in Gaza, which poses a threat to international peace and contradicts the United Nations Charter in preserving human rights.”
The Decent Life Foundation is contributing to the convoy in fulfillment of its leading role in Egypt and abroad. It has also announced availability of bank accounts for Egyptians willing to donate to support the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
