Egypt’s Military Production Minister Mohamed Salaheddin Moustafa and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker visited “Military Factory 200” Monday.
The two ministers attended a presentation about the spark plugs of power plants, which are key factors in the operation of those stations.
“Military Factory 200” is affiliated with the Military Production Ministry and is specialized in tank production and repair.
Moustafa said military production firms have technological and human potentials that enable them to manufacture spare parts needed to upgrade the efficiency of and maintain electric plants. He cited cooperation between his Ministry and the UAE’s “Advanced Technology Development” (ATD) to provide such services.
Electricity Minister Shaker, for his part, stressed the importance of having a strong local industry to be able to achieve self-sufficiency and meet demands of current and future projects.
Depending on locally-manufactured products means reducing imports and saving foreign currencies, he noted.
Shaker was pleased with the presentation conducted by the UAE’s ATD, and voiced confidence in the ability of the Military Production Ministry to contribute to the implementation of national projects across Egypt.
