Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali El-Moselhi announced Saturday a 14% decrease in cooking oil prices, bringing the total reduction to 36% since a series of meetings chaired by the Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli within the price and markets control committee.
Oil-producing companies affirmed their firm commitment to providing the best food products of high quality, prioritizing meeting the needs of customers and continuously and effectively providing their requirements.
Moselhi said an abundance of goods had been recorded after the recent customs releases, which exceeded $8 billion dollars.
“This ensures competition among producers, chains, and importers to reduce prices in favor of the Egyptian consumer,” he further said
