Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Salah el Din Moustafa reiterated on Sunday the ministry’s keenness on benefiting from the surplus energy production of the ministry’s affiliated companies to secure citizens’ needs and carry out national projects.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with a number of board chairmen of companies and other senior officials.
The meeting tackled the proposed strategy to develop prepaid water and energy meters inside the military production units.
The minister said the ministry is keen on localising modern industrialisation technology in all domains in a bid to secure high quality products with competitive price.
He said the government is keen on manufacturing the smart meters locally to reduce exports and save hard currency.
He underlined the importance of prepaid water meters in rationalising water consumption.
