Within the framework of the presidential rural development initiative, the Decent Life Foundation on Wednesday dispatched a medical convoy to Gharb Sohail village in Aswan Governorate.
The convoy was organised in co-operation with Aswan University and under the auspices of Dr Ashraf Maadbad, General Director of University Hospitals and in the presence of Decent Life Foundation Coordinator Dr Mohamed Salah.
Villagers of Gharb Suhail had petitioned for a medical convoy specialising in eye diseases.
The ophthalmology convoy was sent immediately to the village and will stay there for two days.
The convoy provides free medical check-ups by staff from Aswan University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine. Also provided are necessary medicines and a transfer services to the university hospital, where check-ups and surgical procedures can be carried out free of charge.
This comes within the framework of the Decent Life Foundation to improve living conditions and help residents in emergencies.
