CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli attended on Wednesday a ceremony for signing a co-operation agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The agreement comes upon an initiative from the central unit of the Finance Ministry to establish “Egypt account” to finance feasibility studies and project offerings in co-operation with the private sector at a total capital of 10 million euros with the aim of backing Egypt’s development process.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk and Mark Davis, Managing Director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region at EBRD.
The creation of “Egypt account” would help provide finances for the private and foreign sectors in Egypt to increase investments, Kouchouk said.
