Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said Wednesday that Egypt is keen on offering all kinds of support to our brothers in South Sudan, with a special focus on economic and financial fields to attain developmental goals .
The move is emanating from distinguished and excellent relations between the two countries and the promotion of political determination to enhance strategic partnership, added Maait at a meeting with Minister of Finance and Economic Planning in South Sudan Bak Barnaba Chol and his accompanying delegation.
Chol thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his greater interest in boosting efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability and development in South Sudan.
That reflects the strong political determination to promote ways of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, he said.
Chol said we are looking forward to benefiting from Egyptian experiences and experiments in localizing and strengthening financial technology and relying on automated systems to modernize the taxation and customs systems in the country.
