Tanta University is now listed among the best 500 universities at international level, according to Shanghai ranking.
“Finding a top place in international ranking and supporting applied research is what we compete for,” University President Mahmoud Ahmed Zaki said.
“For the first time, Tanta University ranks in the 401-500 group according to Shanghai ranking in agricultural and botany science.
“At international level the university is 1010th and 7th at local level, according to the Leiden Dutch classification as Tanta University has published1,119 items of research, of which 115 are in life and earth sciences, 436 in bioscience and 432 in physics and engineering.
“Tanta also ranks 1201 at international level and the fifth at local level according to the British QS.”
Zaki added that these rankings mirror the support for university scientists to publish their results worldwide.
Scientific research has been levelled up through applied research that serves Egypt’s 2030 Vision for sustainable development, incentives for publication and memoranda with research institutes nationally and internationally.
