Cairo is more than a thousand years old and is full of antiquities from various historical eras which have undergone extensive renovation and development to boost tourism.
This statement by Governor of Cairo Khaled Abdel Aal came during a meeting with the Vice President of Zhengzhou Province on the sidelines of the International Mayors Forum on Tourism in Zhengzhou, China.
Cairo is an international tourist destination, which include a large number of marvelous tourist sites such as the Citadel of Saladin and religious attractions, such as the Interfaith Complex, the Holy Family Path, and many Islamic monuments, the governor said.
Abdel Aal stressed that Egypt’s participation in this forum reflects the depth of relations with China for decades.
He noted that Cairo and Beijing are seeking ways to boost co-operation in various fields of mutual concern to both peoples.
