The Egyptian Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna asserted on Tuesday the depth of ties between Egypt and Madagascar in the different domains within the framework of friendship and strong ties binding Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina.
He pointed out to the directives of President Sisi to the government to support co-operation with the African countries.
This came on Tuesday during Amna’s meeting with a senior delegation from Madagascar under Fidiniavo Ravokatra.
Amna said that the approach of the Egyptian state according to Sisi directives prioritises co-operation with the African states, asserting the keenness of the Ministry of Local Development to increase the level of co-operation with them via several activities.
During the meeting, Amna reviewed the role of the ministry to follow up the implementation of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” as part of a programme to improve the living conditions in the Egyptian countryside to improve the lives of 60 million citizens in 20 governorates to provide the basic services for them including decent housing, sanitation, drinking water, economic empowerment and job opportunities for the villagers.
Amna lauded the efforts of Madagascar president to achieve development, progress and prosperity, asserting appreciation to the programmes and efforts presented by the World Food Programme in Egypt in co-operation with the Ministry of Local Development.
Meanwhile, Ravokatra asserted his country’s keenness to achieve co-operation with Egypt in the different domains, adding that Egypt is always keen on saving no efforts to benefit all the African continent.
