Egypt’s Ismailia governor Sherif Fahmy Beshara on Monday inquired after the health of those wounded in the fire that broke out of the Ismailia security directorate HQ this morning.
According to a statement issued by the governorate, Beshara directed officials to provide necessary medical care for the wounded.
The Health Ministry announced that all hospitals at Ismailia governorate were placed on high alert to receive those injured.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghafar said 50 ambulances rushed to the scene of the fire upon receiving a report on its outbreak, asserting that all emergency medicine and blood types are available at the hospitals.
Abdel Ghafar pointed out that 12 injured people received medical care at the site, while 26 cases were moved to the medical complex of Ismailia.
As many as 24 people suffered suffocation, while two people sustained burn injuries, he said, adding that seven cases were discharged from hospital after improvement of their conditions.
